I have played countless of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have bet on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of funds at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to beat the casino.

I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is built on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I bet with basic strategy 21. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very exciting at times. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a number of years back with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a number of months ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!

You need to understand that you can squander much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you notice betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $5 wager

Bet $5
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar

Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the initial ten dollar bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $20

Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager

Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the original forty dollar wager

Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Bet $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the original $160 wager

If you departed at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It’s hard to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
