I have gambled on millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of funds at twenty-one. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.

I still like the game and bet on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original amount.

I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a number of years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this method! And a couple of days ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be surprised at the streaks you witness playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.

Bet 5 dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $5 bet

Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager

Wager $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Wager $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 bet

Wager 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the first $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar bet

Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $160 bet

If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
