I have played millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have wagered on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent an abundance of money at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is built on the idea that blackjack seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy 21. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very fun on occasion. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Wynn a couple of years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You need to comprehend that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a $5 table.
Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the original five dollar bet
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10
Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the first twenty dollar wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80
Wager eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original one hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
