I have wagered on millions of hands of 21. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was 16. I have gambled on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost a lot of cash at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.
I still like the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have gambled on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original sum.
I am very strict and do not back out. It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a number of years ago with $750 after 35 minutes using this technique! And a number of days ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give away much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $5 wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Wager 10 dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the original ten dollar bet
Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Bet $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original forty dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you left at this instance you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
